Building Bridges: Parents for Peace Meets with Representative Seth Magaziner

Myrieme Churchill recently met with Representative Seth Magaziner (D, RI-02) in Warwick, Rhode Island, where they discussed potential collaborations between Parents for Peace and the House Committee on Homeland Security.

In a significant step toward enhancing our collaborative efforts to combat extremism, Myrieme Churchill, Executive Director of Parents for Peace, recently met with Representative Seth Magaziner (D, RI-02) at his office in Warwick, Rhode Island. This meeting was made possible through the introduction by Representative Auchincloss, following Myrieme’s attendance at the State of the Union earlier this year.

The discussion centered around the vital work Parents for Peace is doing to address radicalization and support families affected by extremism. Representative Magaziner, who serves on the House Committee on Homeland Security and as a Ranking Member on its Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence, showed a keen interest in our initiatives and expressed a strong desire to explore potential collaborations.

Rep. Magaziner’s roles position him as a crucial ally in our mission to build resilience against extremism. His interest in our work is a promising sign of future partnerships that could enhance our impact on national security and community well-being.

We look forward to the potential opportunities this connection may bring and remain committed to working with key stakeholders to foster a safer, more resilient society. Stay tuned for further updates on our collaborative efforts and how you can get involved.
