Emma Jouenne

Principal Investigator

Emma Jouenne is a security and extremism analyst specializing in preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE). With a Master’s from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Security Studies, she has led high-impact research and intervention programs, notably at Parents for Peace. Her expertise spans OSINT investigations, radicalization risk assessment, and gender dynamics in extremism. Emma has advised on high-profile counterterrorism cases, collaborated with institutions like Harvard and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and secured significant funding for prevention initiatives. She has also presented her work internationally and co-authored research on extremism, online misogyny, and risk assessment.

  • August 2023 (Florida): Briefed the State of Florida Prevention and Awareness Committee on domestic extremism in the United States and the work of our organisation. 
  • May 2023 (Rome): Presentation on the Parents for Peace methodology at a conference organized by the Radicalisation Awareness Network in Rome, Italy.
  • April 2023 (Online): Presentation of a radical behavior assessment tool during a study day organized by the Radicalisation Awareness Network on the subject “The Time Aspect of Radicalisation”.
  • September 2022 (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania): Presentation of a research project on the radicalisation process of Payton Gendron, the perpetrator of an attack in Buffalo, New York in May 2022, at the Eradicate Hate conference.
