Parents for Peace at Iftar: Turning Reflection into Action
A few nights ago, Myrieme Churchill, Executive Director of Parents for Peace, had the honor of speaking at an Iftar
The Eradicate Hate Global Summit was an unforgettable experience for the Parents for Peace team. Filled with impactful sessions and meaningful conversations, the event strengthened our resolve and deepened our commitment to addressing extremism as a public health issue.
One of the most powerful moments of the summit was meeting Chin Roger. Her incredible resilience in the face of personal tragedy left a profound impact on everyone in the room. Chin’s courage in sharing her story and her dedication to supporting families affected by extremism remind us of why this work is so crucial.
When parents and loved ones step forward to share their experiences, they create an invaluable bridge between families, practitioners, and frontline professionals. Chin’s example inspires us to continue building these connections, which are vital to preventing and healing the harms of extremism.
We are deeply grateful to the summit’s organizers, presenters, and participants for fostering an environment where collaboration thrives. A special thank you to our friends at the Department of Homeland Security and the CP3 program for creating opportunities for these essential conversations.
Through shared stories, expertise, and actionable insights, events like the Eradicate Hate Global Summit bring us closer to creating a safer, more understanding world.
As we reflect on this transformative experience, we carry forward the lessons learned and the connections made. To all who contributed to this inspiring event—thank you for your dedication and passion. Together, we’re fostering real change, one conversation and one story at a time. 🧡
