On June 7, Parents for Peace proudly completed the pilot of its Exit Peer Specialist training program. Developed in partnership with Georgia State University, the curriculum aims to equip individuals with the skills needed to support those exiting extremist environments. The pilot training was led by Parents for Peace Program Director Kevin Lambert and Robert Ă–rell, a renowned P/CVE expert from Sweden.
The training saw participation from four dedicated individuals, three of whom received a certificate of completion. Among the trainees was Parents for Peace Certified Peer Exit Specialist Mubin Shaikh, who successfully completed the program.
This pilot marks a significant milestone in our efforts to provide structured, impactful support to those seeking to leave extremist ideologies behind. We are excited about the potential of this program to foster resilience and promote positive change.
