We didn’t realize how far he had gone online. The more we tried to intervene, the more he withdrew.

Eventually, we were connected with Parents for Peace. For the first time, we didn’t feel judged. We didn’t feel alone.

The FBI showed came to our house and told us our 15-year-old son had been talking online with a terrorist group—about building bombs.

Parents for Peace didn’t just talk to him—they talked to us. They saw us as a family. â€‹

The Problem

Online extremists are targeting young people at record rates.
74% of our helpline cases involve youth and young adults under 26.

Hate is showing up in our homes, schools, and on our children’s screens. Everyone is affected and families are desperately searching for help.

Parents for Peace has been on the frontline of this issue since 2016. We built an evidence-informed model that stops hate across the spectrum before it turns to harm.

Let us show you how we stand up to hate — and how you can too.

Stand Up to Hate:
A Call to Action

The Need is Urgent. Violent extremism is tearing families and communities apart, making all of us feel unsafe.

At Parents for Peace, we know the answer isn’t more hate — it’s connection, care, and courage.

Yet, our helpline is at record highs while public funding declines. Meeting this moment takes all of us.

Let us show you how we stand up to hate — and how you can too.

Trainings & Talks in 2025

Through conferences, panels, and trainings, we share insights nationwide — expanding understanding and building trust where division once grew.

We also equip parents, educators, and communities to recognize early warning signs and respond effectively.

We’re not just reacting to hate; we’re building a long-term infrastructure of prevention.

Our P.E.A.C.E. Framework

Long before radicalization became a household word, we were designing a compassionate, evidence-based response.
Our PEACE Framework treats violent extremism as a public health issue — one that demands early recognition, community involvement, and sustained recovery.

P — Prevention: We build awareness and resilience before hate takes hold.
E — Engagement: We listen without judgment to understand each person’s story.
A — Assistance: We support families and individuals through tailored interventions.
C — Connection: We link professionals, peers, and communities across divides.
E — Empowerment: We help people rebuild identity, purpose, and belonging.

This framework has guided every helpline call, training, and intervention — a tested model created through years of on-the-ground experience and partnerships.
